Logline
A sceptical astrologer inherits her estranged grandmother’s private client archive and discovers a collection of birth charts that predict the exact dates of their owners’ deaths — including her own, just eleven days away. The only person who seems to understand what the charts really mean is the dangerously secretive man whose name appears beside hers in a prediction written thirty years before they ever met.
Synopsis
Elara Quinn makes her living reading birth charts, but she does not believe the stars control anyone’s fate. To Elara, astrology is pattern, psychology and storytelling — useful for understanding people, not predicting the future.
Then her estranged grandmother, Isolde Quinn, dies. Elara inherits Isolde’s old townhouse, her private astrology practice and a locked archive containing decades of handwritten client charts that were never digitized.
At first, the collection looks like the obsessive work of an eccentric old woman. Until Elara notices something impossible.
Beside certain charts, Isolde has written a date in black ink. Every date corresponds to the client’s death. Not approximately. Exactly. Heart attacks. Accidents. Disappearances. Murders.
Then Elara finds her own chart. Eleven days remaining.
Beneath it is another chart belonging to Cassian Ward, a wealthy, guarded stranger Elara has never met. Across both charts, Isolde has written one sentence: “When Saturn returns, one of them must die.”
Hours later, Cassian walks into Elara’s practice. He already knows who she is. And he has been searching for Isolde’s missing archive for years.
Cassian insists the charts do not predict death. They record a debt. Their families have been connected for generations by a secret that began with an astrologer who discovered something hidden inside Saturn’s cycles — something powerful enough that wealthy families paid fortunes to have their futures rewritten.
But changing fate never erased the death that should have happened. It merely transferred it to someone else.
As Elara’s eleven-day countdown progresses, increasingly impossible events begin matching details hidden inside her chart. At the same time, she discovers that Cassian’s family may have survived for generations because members of hers did not.
She should distrust him. Instead, he becomes the one person keeping her alive.
Their attraction intensifies as each revelation binds their histories closer together, until Elara discovers the most disturbing prediction in the archive: her grandmother drew Elara and Cassian’s combined chart thirty years before Elara was born.
Their meeting was never an accident.
The Vertical Engine
The story runs on an eleven-day countdown, creating a built-in escalation structure for short-form serialized episodes.
Each cluster of episodes reveals another detail hidden inside Elara’s chart — a place, object, injury, person or seemingly insignificant event — before that prediction begins to occur in real life.
Every attempt to prevent one event creates another consequence, driving the audience toward two central questions: Can Elara change the prediction? And if she can — who pays the price?
The romance creates a parallel cliffhanger engine: every discovery that pulls Elara and Cassian emotionally closer also gives Elara another reason to suspect that his family may be responsible for her approaching death.

Lead Characters
Elara Quinn
A sharp, independent astrologer who understands the technical language of astrology but rejects fatalism. Elara has built her identity around the belief that people make their own choices. Finding her death written in a chart forces her to confront the possibility that the one thing she dismisses publicly may have governed her family for generations.
Cassian Ward
Controlled, intelligent and quietly intimidating. Cassian comes from an old, wealthy family with a history they have spent generations concealing. He knows far more about Isolde’s work than he initially admits. His growing feelings for Elara create an impossible conflict: saving her may require revealing what his own family did to hers.
Isolde Quinn
Elara’s deceased grandmother and former astrologer to an elite private clientele. In death, she remains central to the mystery through recordings, coded annotations, letters and unfinished charts. Whether Isolde was trying to preserve the system or destroy it remains uncertain.
Felix Ward
Cassian’s older brother and the polished public face of the Ward family. Felix believes some secrets exist because revealing them would be more dangerous than continuing them. He warns Cassian that Elara’s survival could come at a cost neither of them understands.
Miriam Sloane
Isolde’s former assistant and one of the few people who remembers the private clients who visited the house decades earlier. Warm and apparently protective toward Elara, Miriam becomes increasingly evasive whenever Elara asks about her mother’s chart.
Dr. Gideon March
A respected historian of occult traditions who helps Elara decode the oldest material in Isolde’s archive. His research suggests the Quinn charts are connected to a centuries-old practice known as the Saturn Exchange — but Gideon’s interest in the archive may be far more personal than academic.
